چکیده
Abstract Background In addition to rotavirus and norovirus, human adenovirus (HAdV) classic astrovirus (classic HAstV) are important pathogens of acute diarrhea in infants young children. Here, we present the molecular epidemiology HAdV HAstV children with Shanghai. Methods Fecal specimens were collected from 804 outpatient diagnosed Shanghai January 2017 December 2018. All samples screened for presence HAstV. detected using traditional PCR reverse-transcription PCR, respectively. positive genotyped by phylogenetic analysis. Results Among fecal samples, 8.58% (69/804) infected either or HAstV, five co-infected two viruses. The overall detection rates 3.47% (28/804) 5.22% (42/804), Four subgroups (A, B, C, F) seven genotypes (HAdV-C1, −C2, −B3, −C5, −A31, −F40, -F41) detected. Subgroup F had highest constituent ratio at 64.29% (18/28), followed non-enteric subgroup C (21.43%, 6/28) B 10.71% (3/28). HAdV-F41 (60.71%, 17/28) was dominant genotype, HAdV-C2 (14.29%, 4/28) HAdV-B3 (10.71%, 3/28). Two (HAstV-1 HAstV-5) identified 42 during study period; HAstV-1 (95.24%, 40/42) predominant other strains as HAstV-5. No significant differences found between boys girls ( P = 0.604) 0.275). Over half infections (82.14%, 23/28) (66.67%, 28/42) occurred less than 36 months. Seasonal preferences summer winter, this study, common clinical symptoms diarrhea, vomiting, fever abdominal pain. Conclusions Our findings indicate that play roles pathogenesis Systematic long-term surveillance needed monitor their prevalence prevent major outbreak.

Background: Human adenovirus (HAdV) is considered a significant enteropathogen associated with sporadic diarrhea in children. However, limited data are available regarding the epidemiology of HAdV in hospitalized children with viral diarrhea in Shanghai. The aim of this study was to characterize the epidemiology of HAdVs and describe their association with acute diarrhea in hospitalized childre...

Molecular Investigation of the Human Adenovirus in Retinoblastoma Patients
Background and Aims: Retinoblastoma tumors are the most common intraocular malignancy in childhood, leading to death after two years. The Human Adenovirus (HAdV) infection could be critical in the retinoblastoma pathogenesis due to the virus and retinoblastoma 1 interactions. The objective of the current study was to investigate the possible presence of the HAdV genome in the retinoblastoma pat...
